postmodernism

post-modernism means when you are taking a certain object,movement, in relation to art, literature and so onwards, bringing it and reintroducing it into the modern world, merging them with today's modernist principles.

There are examples of videos today that have that post modernistic element to it such as Beyonce's
"countdown",The Queen's "want to break free" and "lady marmalade"

"countdown" gives a homage to 1950's actress Audrey Hepburn

"want to break free" shows similarities of how a house wife from the 1940's were expected to behave but in a parody

And finally "lady marmalade" paid tribute to the Hollywood film Moulin Rouge
